Hi, I am Kish!
My name is Kish Israni, and I’m the creator behind MidAmGolfer. Based out of Houston, Texas, I have a deep passion for competitive golf and for traveling around the country and the world to experience incredible courses and destinations. Whether I’m grinding in tournaments or teeing it up at bucket-list resorts and unforgettable stay-and-play properties, I’m always chasing the next great round. When the opportunity presents itself, I travel to play premier courses across the U.S. and globally, sharing the journey and the behind-the-scenes of what makes each golf experience special.
Why The Travel Blog?
The travel blog exists to go deeper than a highlight reel and give a real look at what golf destinations are truly like. Beyond the scorecard, it’s about the full experience — the course design, the atmosphere, the accommodations, the food, the people, and the moments that make a trip unforgettable. I created this blog to document those experiences in detail, provide honest insight for golfers planning their own trips, and capture the stories behind each destination. My mission with MidAmGolfer is to experience the game of golf in all its forms and share that journey with my audience. Whether it’s a top-ranked course in the U.S. or a unique international destination, my goal is to highlight what makes each golf experience distinct and inspiring, while bringing viewers along for the ride.
